Short sale time is tick, tick, ticking away

Getting a foreclosure delayed used to be no problem with a valid short sale offer, even with only a few days left. Some banks would even postpone the foreclosure if the property was just listed for sale. Not anymore! And it does not make sense! Then again, when have the banks ever made sense?
